Fact #1
The egg gives you 10% of your daily protein
requirements. Egg protein is the most
complete protein and contains all of the Amino Acids your muscles need. And don’t worry about the cholesterol, studies have shown
that ingested cholesterol is not the problem. A diet high in Triglycerides will stimulate
your body into producing it’s own bad cholesterol.
Fact #2
Omega 3’s, the fatty acids found in fish, are heart healthy
and do wonders for good cholesterol.
Women should eat a can of tuna three times a week and men, a can of tuna
once a month to cut stroke risk by 40%.
Fact #3
Oestrogen gives you fat tissue while testosterone promotes
muscle growth. Both genders have both
hormones but women have more Oestrogen and less testosterone than men. This is another reason why it is harder for
women to lose weight than men and why men, generally, are more muscular.
Fact #4
Starving yourself undoes all of your dieting efforts. If
your stomach is growling, you are doing something wrong! Just mindlessly snacking because you are
bored is a no-no, but when you are hungry, don’t be afraid to grab a healthy
snack, because that’s what keeps your metabolism cranking away.
Fact #5
You can do abs exercises until you fall into a coma but
unless you also do cardio, weight training and proper nutrition, you are not
going to see a six-pack anytime soon.
Fact #6
A big mistake people make when they go to the gym is not
having a plan. It’s one thing to get
yourself into the gym but if you have no idea what muscles you are going to
work, or what machines to use, odds are you will end up wandering the floor
most of the time and will not achieve anything much at all.
